Building’s History

1922

Built by Con Ed substation to provide electrical power to NYC.

1975

It was converted to a warehouse.

1980’S

SoHo became a starving artists’ community, and 214 Lafayette served as an art gallery into the late 1990’s.

1996

The building was purchased by a filmdirector, who did a gut renovation turning it into a unique residential property & event location.

TODAY

It has become a prime venue in one of the most trendsetting areas of New York City.

First Floor

Capacity: up to 60 guests

The main entrance is the perfect setting for guest registration, coat check and welcome reception, featuring a glass window witht a view on the swimming pool.
Internationally renowned companies such as Google, Microsoft, Vogue, Furla and Hickey Freeman, amongst others, have selected the Townhouse as the venue of choice for their special events, delivering unforgettable experiences.

Pool and Dining

Capacity: up to 60 guests

The conference room, furnished by our partner Savant and Lutron, offers a remote 55” TV screen for branding opportunities. The heated pool (8ft deep x 12ft x 40ft) is one of the 11 private pools in NYC and can be adapted to the events’ needs by being open-air or temporally covered. The in-house state-of-the-art McIntosh audio components allow to play personalized playlists and can operate independently or as part of the integrated sound system. The pool area is also used for art exhibits offering a unique experience. Audio is Art and WOM is a proud sponsor for up and coming artists.

Kitchen

Up to 100 guests, sit-down dinners up to 60 guests

Furnished by Design Within Reach and Fontana Arte, video display by “Digital Projection” and “Stewart Filmscreen”, McIntosh sound system and Sonus Faber speakers showcase top of the line audio with Dolby Atmos surround sound from 14 speakers, resulting in a truly memorable experience. The system can support live music from a DJ or a band.
WOM welcomed chef Enrique Olvera from Cosme, chef Rocco DiSpirito and chef Paul Liebrandt amongst others.

Room with View

Overlooking the main floor this intimate room with balcony can be used for DJ setup or additional space for reception or caterer.

Terrace and Lounge

Capacity: up to 80 guests

The Townhouse offers a unique indoor lounge with furniture by Timothy Oulton while the French glass doors lead to a beautiful terrace. McIntosh sound can be played independently through i-Pod, tablet or integrated in the Townhouse’s main system.
